ArtiCAD Strengthens Links With Leading Business Management Products

ArtiCAD Limited announces further integration of its ArtiCAD-Pro product with the pricing/business management products from easyquote and SMART.

Although the products have been integrated for a number of years, ArtiCAD has now undertaken major developments to ensure the seamless passage of complex customised data between ArtiCAD-Pro and easyquote or SMART. This will make it even faster and easier to accurately price ArtiCAD designs, without having to do this manually or having to re-key data into a different pricing product.

Using XML, the new ArtiCAD-Pro and easyquote/SMART interfaces allow the export of all the relevant information from an ArtiCAD design into easyquote or SMART. This includes automatically matching ArtiCAD codes to easyquote or SMART's internal codes to ensure exact matching to the chosen specification. In addition, ArtiCAD-Pro exports all the door information, such as size and type, for any cabinet. This even includes doors that may have been customised in ArtiCAD-Pro.

According to Theresa Turner, a director of ArtiCAD: "This feature is of particular benefit to those of our clients who order doors and carcasses from different suppliers. No matter how many different components they use or how many changes they make to the standard product, ArtiCAD is now capable of passing all this information to easyquote or SMART in a format which allows the pricing system to produce an accurate, detailed costing."

The new ArtiCAD-Pro/easyquote and ArtiCAD-Pro/SMART interfaces are available to all ArtiCAD's existing customers as an upgrade, and will be included as standard in the forthcoming new version of ArtiCAD-Pro (version 15) which is due for launch at this year?'s KBB exhibition.
