ArtiCAD Launches New Online Training for All Customers
ArtiCAD Limited, the CAD software specialist for kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and home offices, announces that it has launched an innovative Online Training programme. The new secure web-based training provides customers with a far more flexible solution to their training needs, without the need to travel to ArtiCAD's headquarters in Watford unless they choose to do so.
The new Online Training is an extension of ArtiCAD's Instant Remote Support which has proved extremely successful. This enables an ArtiCAD support technician to be invited to take control of a client's PC remotely over a secure broadband Internet connection. The technician is able to view the screen whilst the client demonstrates the problem. He or she then takes control of the PC and demonstrates to the watching client the steps which need to be taken to resolve the problem.
The same approach is being used for the Online Training whereby the ArtiCAD trainer and the client are both able to see exactly what the other person is doing. As well as being provided for one to one training, the Online Training can also be used for groups in different locations. The trainees log on and are able to discuss what is happening on the screen via a telephone conference call.
Alan Waters of A & B Waters, a long-established kitchen and bathroom supplier used the Online Training as a refresher course. "It was extremely convenient for me to use this approach and was like having an invisible tutor. I also used it as an opportunity to go through a couple of problem designs I had and to have the latest version of the software uploaded to my PC."
Kevin Brown of KB Innovations spent just half an hour with Online Training and found it very useful. "I used this new service not only as quick refresher on a couple of aspects of the software, but also to be shown the pricing system, and how to use that. It's a clever approach to training and means that I didn't have to take the time to travel to ArtiCAD's offices in Watford."
According to Dave Gurr, Commercial Director, ArtiCAD Limited: "Although this type of approach to training is used by some IT companies, we believe that this is the first time that it has been tried for kitchen and bathroom designers. Early reaction from our customers seems to indicate that we have hit the nail right on the head, and that it provides a perfect training solution both for full courses and as a refresher."
ArtiCAD's one day introductory training course has been split up into a number of modules which are be offered throughout the course of a week. New users , and those requiring refresher courses , are able to securely dial into the training session which most meets their needs, at a time of day to suit them.
