WITH WELL-KNOWN RANGES including Cucina Colore and English Revival, Mereway is a leading kitchen manufacturer with products being supplied throughout the UK via a network of independent retailers.  The company’s range of kitchen cabinets encompasses over seventy different finishes including veneer, solid timber, gloss, painted, MFC and foil-wrapped in slab, shaker and curved door styles.
 
The role of technology for the KBB industry

Ginette Crowther, Marketing Manager for Mereway, recounts that the company became aware of the importance of CAD more than ten years ago.   “It was becoming clear that technology was going to play an integral part in our industry, with design and planning systems perhaps being one of the most important elements.”

Over the years, the company has worked with various CAD suppliers, but earlier this year the results of research undertaken with Mereway’s retailers revealed some interesting data. 

“Amongst other findings, the research showed a strong representation for ArtiCAD-Pro as a CAD system favoured by a number of our retailers. So, as part of our on-going commitment to support our dealers by being as flexible and responsive as possible, we became a member of the ArtiCAD Supplier Partnership.”

ALL MEREWAY'S PRODUCT are now included within the ArtiCAD software. This includes the Futura handleless range in the Cucina Colore collection as well as the more traditional English Revival Shaker in-frame range. 
 
Ginette Crowther: “Working with ArtiCAD has gone very well.  In addition to the graphics catalogue we will also be collaborating on a number of joint PR opportunities and marketing activities. By mirroring each other’s activities to our own client bases, we believe that both companies  –

and both companies’ clients – will benefit from this new partnership. Our products will be represented quicker and more accurately through the ArtiCAD-Pro software in a bid to make our kitchens easier to cost and easier to plan.”

An ever-changing industry

“Home interiors have become a fashion industry with curves being popular right now mirrored at both wall and base level to create soft ergonomic shapes and enable cabinets to flow easily between rooms. Mereway is also seeing a ‘back to nature’ trend in terms of colour this year with earthy tones such as olive, stone and pebble and richly textured woodgrains being the most sought after looks this year.
