Based in Cookstown in County Tyrone, BA Components is a major manufacturer of vinyl wrapped doors and accessories for the UK and Irish furniture industry.

A Partnership Based on Innovation

The company’s customers include retailers, manufacturers and distributors of both kitchens and bedrooms.

BA Components has been working with ArtiCAD for four years, and is an enthusiastic member of the ArtiCAD Supplier Partnership Programme.  David Caulfield, Sales & Marketing Manager, BA Components:  “We have innovated constantly and ArtiCAD has stayed with us.  Our innovations have been matched by new features in their software which ensure that the true quality and breadth of our portfolio is accurately portrayed for our customers.”

An extensive portfolio

Established in 1990, BA Components is now the largest

door producer, supplying small, medium and large manufacturers with bespoke, made-to-measure vinyl wrapped MDF doors for kitchens and bedrooms.   All the company’s doors are manufactured to the highest British Standard (BS) and Furniture Industry (FIRA) quality accreditations.  The company also has one of the largest

ranges of matching accessories – including handles, knobs, cornices, pelmets, rails, shelf units, spice, wine and

plate racks, lighting and storage – available in the market today.

Marketed under the brand name of “Bella by BA”, BA Components has three product ranges:

- Contemporary Life

- Timeless Classics

- Avant Garde

Twenty three different door styles are offered, in thirty five colours, which include eleven high gloss options.  Any style is available with any colour.

A winning partnership

The inclusion of the Bella range of doors and accessories allows BA Components’ customers to specify the company’s doors at the design stage, and use the automatic pricing capability within the software. David Caulfield: “Our goal is to make Bella the door of choice for all our customers, and our inclusion in ArtiCAD certainly makes this much easier to achieve.”

The full range of Bella kitchen and bedroom graphics, including doors and accessories, is available to download at the click of a mouse from the members’ area of the ArtiCAD website.

BA Components is continuously developing new designs and new colours, and these will be incorporated into ArtiCAD to ensure that the company’s customers have access to the latest innovations in vinyl-wrapped doors, components and accessories.

Designs for dealers

BA Components has built up a network of more than 650 dealers throughout the UK and Ireland.

ArtiCAD-Pro is used by BA Components’ sales personnel staff, on their laptops, to enable them to design new showroom displays within their dealerships.   Prior to using ArtiCAD-Pro, the sales people would take measurements and then return to the head office to work out how best to utilise the space.  David Caulfield:  “Using ArtiCAD, they are able to produce a design on the spot which is obviously a far more efficient process for both our customers and for BA Components.

“Typically a display will be in a showroom for about six months.  The size of these displays varies considerably, from a complete kitchen to just a small segment of one.  Equally the number of displays in a showroom can vary from five or six up to about fifty.  With ArtiCAD-Pro, our sales staff can quickly and easily create a design to meet the exact needs of a particular dealer.”

Not only is ArtiCAD-Pro the product of choice for BA Components, but it is also the most widely used package amongst the company’s dealer network.

David Caulfield:  “Consumers need to be able to see exactly what their new kitchen or bedroom will look like.  Our dealers are using ArtiCAD-Pro to ensure that the aspirations a customer has for their room can actually be turned into reality.  With designs produced in ArtiCAD-Pro, the customer can see a plan of the room, together with high quality 3D visualisations from a variety of different viewpoints.  Nothing else can match this.”
