Victor Paris chooses BathCAD

Having previously tried to use Virtual Worlds software to produce computer-generated designs, the product was soon abandoned because of the length of time it took to render the images.  According to Ross Penman, who is based in the Edinburgh showroom:  “We are a very busy shop and our customers simply didn’t have the time to wait for a design.”

In April 2009, Victor Paris selected the BathCAD software product from ArtiCAD to replace Virtual Worlds and the hand-drawn designs which the sales people were increasingly having to rely on.  Ross Penham:  “BathCAD was the obvious choice for Victor Paris.  We were attracted by its ease of use and the speed with which it could be used to produce both plans and 3D designs.”

Ross is a member of a team of fifteen sales people across both showrooms.  He now typically produces some fifty designs each week using BathCAD.  A layout takes about ten minutes and is produced whilst the customer watches.  “The 3D designs and plans are not only much faster to produce, but are also a lot more professional.  Making changes to a hand-drawn design meant that it had to be started again from scratch, whereas with BathCAD, we can simply drag and drop the bathroom furniture and fittings to wherever the customers wants to see them.
